Purpose:

The Vice President of Sales Strategy (VPSS) leads and mentors the Community Relations Manager and Sales personnel.
Moreover, the VPSS is accountable for training their sales team through both on-site field activities and structured classroom sessions.

The VPSS will initiate Performance Enhancement Plans for under-performing sales representatives and will make informed recommendations regarding hiring and termination as necessary.

The primary objective of this role is to surpass our growth targets by enhancing sales productivity, as indicated by admissions per Full-Time Community Relations Manager.

The VPSS is also tasked with cultivating relationships with essential community referral sources in their designated markets, which aids in coaching sales personnel on effective strategies to secure business.

The VPSS is responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding members of their assigned sales team.

Job Summary:

Oversees and executes all sales initiatives for Jet Health services within their designated territory. Directs sales strategies, assesses market dynamics, and proposes policy modifications to maximize referral activity.

The VPSS possesses the expertise to train our Administrators on best practices in sales management, ensuring sustained growth while collaborating with other locations.

The VPSS is ultimately accountable for achieving referral and intake targets within their designated area as established by the Chief Financial Officer.

The VPSS inspires community relation marketers to meet and exceed monthly objectives.
Enhances profitable revenue and expands market share within assigned service regions.

Develops annual marketing strategies in collaboration with the senior management team and hospice administrators, outlining how the Community Relations Managers will generate new patient activity and foster deeper relationships with referring physicians and other referral sources.

Achieves measurable improvements in optimal payer mix.
Coordinates community relations, marketing, and business development efforts within the region to foster positive brand recognition and consumer relations. Develops and delivers presentations to groups of senior healthcare professionals to secure General In-Patient and Nursing Home contracts.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

Minimum of five years of management experience in healthcare marketing, preferably in Skilled Nursing Facilities, home care, or hospice settings.
Strong communication skills, including effective verbal and written presentation abilities, are essential.
Capability to evaluate and instruct on effective marketing/public presentation techniques.
Proven sales skills in hospice with a successful track record over multiple years in healthcare sales.
At least five years of documented, successful sales experience with physicians, discharge planners, or related roles in the healthcare sector is preferred.
A demonstrated history of building and influencing client relationships, achieving goals, and knowledge of Medicare, managed care, and insurance reimbursement is advantageous; and
The candidate must be computer literate, possess a reliable vehicle, a valid driver's license, current car insurance, and a clean driving record.
A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Job Responsibilities:

Collaborates and executes the marketing strategy:

Assists the sales team in identifying and developing referral sources. Meets and exceeds established referral and admission targets.

Acts as a liaison between their assigned programs and senior management to communicate any challenges that hinder sites from achieving their growth objectives.

Oversees admissions processed both locally and through the centralized intake center.
Maintains confidentiality and privacy of information.
Functions autonomously, makes decisions, resolves issues, and utilizes resources as needed.

Engages with and builds relationships with key referral sources to understand their needs and maximize growth, while also forging other relevant healthcare relationships that lead to potential partnership opportunities for Jet Health.

Coaches sales personnel to deliver effective marketing presentations to current and prospective clients, educating them about hospice services.
Maintains a network within their assigned communities.
Works to ensure mutual goal setting and achievement standards within the sales team.
Participates in meetings, health fairs, etc. Demonstrates flexibility, persistence, and initiative to implement positive changes in their assigned programs.
Promotes the hospice mission and vision within their assigned communities.
Exhibits a professional demeanor towards hospice staff, referral sources, and the general public; and
Performs additional duties as assigned by their direct supervisor.
