Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management
    • Lead and manage a team of Regional Supervisors and Area Vice Presidents to ensure best practices are enforced in all on-site operations.

  • Reporting
    • Monitor monthly financial reviews with Regional Vice Presidents and ensure sites are on track to meet budget goals.
    • Benchmark property performance against regional and national averages.
    • Oversee policies for property operations and work closely with the Risk Management department to review liability and property damage claims.
  • Financial Management
    • Identify and implement new business opportunities for increasing revenue potential.
    • Lead the multifamily portfolio in annual budget review and preparation, working in conjunction with Vice President leaders to align with corporate revenue growth and financial goals.
    • Analyze internal business processes relative to property operations and develop strategies to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and optimize revenue.
  • Administrative Duties
    • Create and implement action plans for underperforming assets.
    • Monitor expense controls and implement initiatives to achieve or exceed budget.
    • Draft annual department operating regional budget.
  • Business Development/Due Diligence & Transitions
    • Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth and revenue.
    • Work closely with the Transitions and Due Diligence team to assign walkers/auditors for upcoming communities and analyze assets to provide feedback to clients.
    • Attend DD, prepping, and task completion items for property transitions.
Requirements
  • 10-15 years of multifamily property management leadership success with a large portfolio.
  • Certified Apartment Property Supervisor (CAPS) and/or Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) certification preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
  • Proven success in building a culture of financial accountability across the team, exceeding financial and operational objectives.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding and use independent judgment on a continual basis to determine actions, priorities, and direct the work of others.
