POSITION SUMMARY

The Big Ten Network presents an exciting opportunity for a Director of Advertising Sales. This role entails overseeing West Coast sales for BTN, which includes nurturing existing client relationships to ensure ongoing growth, pursuing new business opportunities, staying informed on market dynamics and industry trends, and promoting the Big Ten Network and Conference.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Meet and exceed advertising revenue goals across both linear and digital platforms.
  2. Identify and prioritize potential clients for corporate partnerships and media initiatives.
  3. Establish and maintain robust relationships with clients by understanding their business objectives and delivering effective solutions.
  4. Collaborate closely with FOX sales teams to create comprehensive college sports platforms across Fox Sports, advocating for Big Ten.
  5. Act as the sole BTN representative on the West Coast.
  6. Foster teamwork and communication to collectively achieve business objectives.
  7. Travel to the West Coast and attend collegiate events as necessary.
  8. Support sales and outreach initiatives for the broader FOX portfolio, including Tubi, Entertainment, News, and Business.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. 5-7+ years of experience in media sales, preferably within the sports sector.
  2. In-depth knowledge of the collegiate media landscape.
  3. Proven ability to create and deliver compelling presentations and proposals.
  4. Demonstrated success in closing new business and meeting revenue targets.
  5. Strong connections with senior-level clients on the West Coast.
  6. Experience in selling non-traditional assets (rights, events) is preferred.
  7. Willingness to travel to West Coast clients and prospects.
  8. Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends for designated events.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor's Degree.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $161,000.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
