Position: Vice President of National Sales

Our client, a distinguished leader in the logistics and supply chain domain, is recognized for their outstanding service and strong global presence. As they continue to expand, they are in search of a seasoned Vice President of National Sales to enhance and guide their National Sales Division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales initiatives to stimulate growth across the National Sales Division.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Sales Directors and Sales Personnel, promoting a culture of high performance.
  • Build and sustain robust relationships with key clients and industry stakeholders.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to broaden the division's market reach.
  • Collaborate closely with the Vice President of National Sales to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overarching company objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate sales performance metrics to meet targets and refine strategies as necessary.
  • Represent the division in high-stakes client meetings and industry gatherings.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the sales team and other departments.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive sales experience within the logistics or supply chain sector, with a demonstrated ability to build and lead successful sales teams.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications are advantageous.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of export, air, and ocean logistics, with a proven history of expanding market presence and driving sales growth.
  • A strong background in team development and mentoring, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team to achieve both individual and collective performance goals.
  • An established network of industry contacts and a solid grasp of key market dynamics.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Japanese is a plus but not required.
