ROLE OVERVIEW

The primary responsibility of the Human Resources Representative is to support designated markets and assist the HR Manager in various areas including employee relations, training, safety, recruitment, benefits administration, marketing initiatives, travel coordination, and payroll processing. This role requires exceptional communication abilities, as it involves managing projects and advising managers on coaching and disciplinary matters.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with the HR Manager in a specific geographic region.
  • Manage projects and provide assistance as needed within the assigned territory.
  • Advise managers and supervisors on coaching and disciplinary actions.
  • Engage with employees to address grievances or concerns and recommend solutions to management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations, addressing any discrepancies appropriately.
  • Explain the fundamentals of various benefit plans, including welfare, disability, life insurance, and retirement options.
  • Coordinate recruitment efforts for the market and district, including job postings, interviews, scheduling, background checks, and relocation assistance.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining programs and initiatives that promote a stable and productive workforce with high morale.
  • Conduct orientation for new hires to ensure they become engaged and effective team members.
  • Prepare and analyze turnover and overtime reports, along with other HR-related metrics.
  • Travel to various locations as required.
  • Ensure the accuracy and promptness of hiring and termination documentation across all sites.
  • Process payroll information, including commissions, and manage incentive approvals.
  • Be prepared to temporarily cover HR Manager responsibilities within the region.
  • Monitor workers' compensation claims and liaise with medical professionals, employees, and corporate staff.
  • Assist with local payroll processing, including time card verification.
  • Perform other administrative and HR-related tasks as assigned.
SUPERVISORY ROLE

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Relevant work experience may substitute for educational qualifications.
  • A minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • High patience and problem recognition skills.
  • Knowledge of Employment Law and OSHA regulations.
  • PHR certification is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical requirements for this role include:
  • Primarily office-based work, generally sedentary, with occasional walking or standing.
  • May involve lifting or moving objects up to 25 pounds.
