Position Overview
The Vice President of Federal Operations will be pivotal in expanding, managing, and directing the Federal Sector at Own. The ideal candidate will significantly contribute to the development and implementation of a Federal Sales Strategy aimed at maximizing the utilization of Own within the State and Local markets.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and drive the business and revenue growth of the Federal Sector within the Public Sector Team.
- Assess regional market trends to enhance existing successes and identify new sales growth avenues.
- Inform leadership about critical industry factors, including competitive offerings, regulations, trends, customer requirements, and pricing strategies.
- Prepare forecasts, manage territories/industries, and develop growth strategies.
- Ensure alignment of the public sector sales strategy with corporate revenue objectives.
- Oversee a small team of Federal representatives across North America, fostering team and revenue growth.
- Collaborate closely with Channel partners to stimulate revenue and expansion.
- Work cross-functionally to establish a regional presence for the Own Brand in the DMV and Federal Markets.

Qualifications
- A minimum of 8 years in frontline leadership roles.
- At least 15 years of experience in closing roles within SaaS sales through a two-tiered channel ecosystem, including distribution, corporate resellers, and value-added resellers.
- Proven track record of consistently surpassing established performance metrics in the Public Sector.
- Preferred candidates will possess experience in consultative sales management and demonstrate strong partnership and closing capabilities.
- Expertise in contracts such as GSA and NASA SEWP, along with various purchasing vehicles to facilitate software sales growth via channel partners.
- Exceptional management and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with diverse sales methodologies and customer relationship management (CRM) systems; knowledge of SFDC is desirable.

Work Environment
This is a full-time remote position. The ideal candidate will ideally be based in the DC Metro area to enhance collaboration and interaction with the business. Own is a global team, and for the right candidate, there may be opportunities to work remotely in specific states.
