Position Overview:
Erickson Senior Living, a leading provider of senior living and healthcare solutions, is seeking a Senior Vice President of Compliance and Privacy. This pivotal role is essential in ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and fostering a culture of compliance across our organization.

The Senior Vice President will manage the compliance framework, focusing on policies, training, compliance reporting, auditing, and monitoring activities. This individual will also oversee all aspects of HIPAA privacy compliance.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop an annual Corporate Compliance Audit/Review Schedule, identifying key areas for assessment based on strategic objectives outlined in the Corporate Compliance Plan.

2. Supervise privacy and compliance risk assessments, along with ongoing auditing and monitoring initiatives in collaboration with compliance and operational assessment teams.

3. Collaborate with legal counsel and various departments to ensure the organization maintains robust privacy and compliance policies that align with state and federal regulations.

4. Direct and deliver comprehensive privacy and compliance training programs for all employees, volunteers, medical staff, and relevant third parties.

5. Promote a culture of compliance and privacy awareness throughout the organization.

6. Participate in the development and ongoing monitoring of business associate agreements to ensure privacy obligations are met.

7. Work closely with legal counsel and management to address any allegations or complaints regarding privacy, security, or compliance policies, including conducting necessary reviews or investigations.

8. Stay informed on applicable federal and state privacy and compliance laws and accreditation standards.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance and HIPAA regulations is essential.
- Experience in a mid to large corporation for 5-10 years is preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as CHC, CPA, CIA, JD, RHIA, or coding certification are advantageous.
