Position Overview
We are collaborating with an international supplier in the metals industry to recruit a Vice President of Commercial Operations for their headquarters in the Middle East.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement aluminium sales, marketing, and procurement strategies aimed at significantly enhancing the commercial performance of the organization.
- Drive initiatives across all commercial sectors, establishing budgets and performance indicators for teams to meet.
- Elevate the company’s global brand and reputation, fostering a culture of achievement within the organization while positively impacting existing sales and procurement teams.
- Supervise new product development projects, conduct competitor analysis and market research, and strengthen customer relationships through outstanding relationship management skills.
- Exhibit exceptional leadership capabilities and performance to secure a planned upward mobility role, reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a key player in critical business decisions.
- Over 15 years of experience in a commercial capacity, preferably with expertise in sales and procurement within the aluminium sector.
- Experience at the C-suite or executive level within the aluminium downstream industry is highly desirable, though candidates one step below this level who are prepared to advance will also be considered.
- Comprehensive global knowledge of the aluminium downstream sector is preferred, although transferable expertise in developing sales strategies for various products (e.g., flat rolled products, slabs, billets, foundry alloys, wire rod, sheets, plates) is also welcome.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
- This position is based in the Middle East.
