We are collaborating with a prominent international metals supplier seeking to appoint a Vice President of Commercial Operations to be based at their headquarters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and implement sales, marketing, and procurement strategies in the aluminium sector aimed at significantly enhancing the commercial performance of the organization.
- Drive initiatives across all commercial divisions, establishing budgets and performance indicators for teams to meet.
- Elevate the company’s global brand and reputation, fostering a culture of achievement within the organization while positively impacting existing sales and procurement teams.
- Lead new product development efforts, conduct competitor analysis and market research, and strengthen customer relationships through outstanding relationship management.
- Exhibit exceptional leadership capabilities and performance to facilitate planned upward mobility; this role will report directly to the CEO and will be pivotal in key business decisions.
Key Qualifications:
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in a commercial capacity, with a preference for sales and procurement expertise within the aluminium industry.
- Executive-level experience in the aluminium downstream sector is highly desirable, though candidates one step below this level who are prepared to advance will also be considered.
- Comprehensive global knowledge of the aluminium downstream market is preferred; however, transferable expertise in developing sales strategies for products such as flat rolled products, slabs, billets, foundry alloys, wire rod, sheets, and plates will be welcomed.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
This position is based in the Middle East.
