Position Overview

The Vice President of Revenue Cycle Operations is a seasoned professional in the revenue cycle domain, taking on a pivotal leadership position to oversee all aspects of front-end and back-office revenue cycle functions. This role is essential for facilitating Johns Hopkins HealthCare's strategic and financial objectives. The incumbent will be responsible for establishing and maintaining compliance with enterprise-wide policies while implementing best practices and initiatives that enhance the financial interactions of patients throughout their care journey.

In this capacity, the Vice President will also be accountable for the development and alignment of onsite cash management practices, which encompass the management of patient valuables, departmental deposits, and adherence to financial teller protocols.

This role champions the standardization of revenue cycle processes and procedures across the organization, ensuring that they are appropriate for revenue capture and reimbursement.

The Vice President will collaborate with key stakeholders to foster consensus in critical discussions, utilizing a cooperative approach to achieve successful outcomes. This includes ensuring an exceptional patient experience and meeting key operational and financial performance indicators that reflect consistent excellence in all areas of responsibility.

This position is tasked with directing and strategizing the activities and resources associated with the Revenue Cycle processes of their respective healthcare entity, as well as establishing the overall direction for revenue cycle operations across Johns Hopkins HealthCare facilities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's Degree is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 7-10+ years of progressively responsible experience in patient access services, registration, scheduling, financial clearance, regulatory compliance, and revenue cycle management, including 3-5 years in a leadership role.
