Reports to: REEF Operations Manager

Compensation: $21-$24.52/hourly

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and assist in the management of before and aftercare (REEF) programs for designated classrooms.
  • Administer daily operations of REEF activities.
  • Collaborate with REEF Operations Managers and relevant staff to ensure that aftercare classes, activities, and field trips are suitable for the age group and align with the school's mission and curriculum.
  • Ensure student safety during aftercare activities on campus and during monthly field trips.
  • Engage students fully in REEF classes during each session.
  • Supervise transitions between classes and group play.
  • Address student behavior issues within REEF programs.
  • Document incidents and communicate promptly with parents.
  • Apply the school-wide student discipline policy consistently.
  • Serve snacks to students, track snack counts, and adhere to compliance regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all areas and materials used during REEF programs.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of REEF programs and staff development.
  • Ensure availability of necessary materials for classes each day.
  • Assist REEF Managers in the creation of new and specialized classes, including writing guidelines and descriptions.
  • Work with school administration to establish processes that uphold the quality, security, and safety of REEF programs.
  • Support additional REEF operational efforts as required.
  • Participate in various projects and tasks related to the overall operation of a public charter school and its extracurricular offerings, as requested by appropriate personnel.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of relevant coursework and experience preferred.
  • Strong preference for candidates with experience in before-and-aftercare program management.
  • Basic technology skills required, including proficiency in Google Suite, particularly Gmail; Mac experience preferred.
  • Self-motivated with effective time management skills and the ability to work independently; strong problem-solving and crisis management abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong motivational capabilities.
  • Warm, friendly, and energetic demeanor; ability to connect well with children and staff.

  • Part-Time (Monday-Thursday 3pm-6:15pm, Friday 12pm-6:15pm)

Terms of Employment: 10 Months

  • Working Environment: In-school. This role is based on-site and will expand to include another campus, facilitating interaction with students, parents, and staff.
