Job Overview

Are you enthusiastic about fostering a secure and stimulating atmosphere for children? Capitol Language Services (CLS) is in search of a committed Program Coordinator for our after-school initiative. In this role, you will represent CLS at your designated educational institution, ensuring adherence to our mission, vision, and policies while facilitating the effective management of our after-school program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the representative of CLS, effectively conveying our mission, vision, and policies to staff, parents, and students.
  • Serve as the primary contact between on-site personnel and the CLS administrative team, ensuring smooth communication and operations.
  • Oversee daily program activities, ensuring educators have the necessary resources and parents have a reliable point of contact for inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure all children are accounted for during program hours.
  • Address behavioral challenges and assist educators in classroom activities as required.
  • Promptly report any staff misconduct, child safety issues, or emergencies to the CLS administrative team.

Additional Duties:

  • Set up and organize program materials and equipment daily, ensuring they are functional and accessible.
  • Monitor and enforce safety protocols, including allergy management and first aid procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding child absences, incidents, and behavioral matters.
  • Complete daily reports and incident documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist with program setup and cleanup routines to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.

Qualifications:

  • AA degree in education or a related field is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Minimum of one year’s experience in childcare, education, or program coordination.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
  • Proficiency in using tablets and technology for program operations.
  • Good references from previous employers.
  • Must be willing to undergo a background check.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 2:15 PM to 6:15 PM.
