Our aftercare initiative is seeking motivated and innovative support personnel to enhance our team. This rewarding role involves promoting and nurturing the intellectual growth of children in the Washington Yu Ying program, engaging with students daily, and fostering trusting, caring relationships with children, families, and educators.

This position serves as an excellent entry point into the field of childhood education.

Essential Responsibilities:
Oversee and assist in the management of before and aftercare (REEF) programs for designated classrooms.

Actively contribute to the success of daily activities organized by Lead Teachers.
Facilitate classroom activities multiple times a week.
Monitor student behavior for development, progress, and opportunities for positive reinforcement. Communicate with parents to share successes.
Support students in maximizing their engagement in each planned activity through encouragement and positivity.
Innovate educational methods and challenge yourself to lead your own activities.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance student engagement and learning.

Lead and facilitate activities designed by lead teachers in their absence and consult with the Washington Yu Ying Team Lead or Manager to address any questions or concerns.

Anticipate the needs of educators and students to ensure smooth activity execution. Work collaboratively with team members to achieve shared goals and objectives.
Supervise and ensure the safety of students during aftercare activities on campus and during field trips when necessary.
Ensure that students are fully engaged in Washington Yu Ying classes each period.
Assist in supervising transitions between classes and group play.
Help oversee students during monthly field trips, ensuring safe transitions to and from these outings.

Support Lead Teachers in maintaining cleanliness in all areas utilized during Washington Yu Ying programs and ensure materials are organized daily.

Ensure that Lead Teachers have the necessary materials for their classes each day.
Assist with other Washington Yu Ying operational efforts as required.

Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree preferred
Friendly and approachable demeanor; ability to connect well with children and staff.
Experience and understanding of before-and-aftercare program management is advantageous.
Proficient in basic technology skills, e.g., Google Suite, particularly GMail. Familiarity with Mac systems is preferred.

Must be a self-motivated individual with strong time management abilities, capable of working independently, and possessing proactive problem-solving and crisis management skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong motivational capabilities.

Terms of Employment: 10 Months

Working Environment:
In-school.

This role is based on-site and will expand to include additional campuses, facilitating interaction with students, parents, and staff.
