Position Details

The After School Teacher role is a part-time position, requiring 20 hours of work per week. The schedule includes:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Wednesday: 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Additionally, teachers will have one hour of planning time each week.

Key Responsibilities

As an After School Teacher, you will:

  • Design and lead engaging activities for students in both small and large groups.
  • Support students in completing homework assignments.
  • Implement a social curriculum aligned with our school’s discipline approach.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and staff to ensure a collaborative environment.
  • Participate actively in scheduled planning sessions.

This position is ideal for individuals looking to enhance their teaching and leadership skills while learning from seasoned educators.

Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with:

  • A high school diploma and experience working with elementary-aged students.
  • A passion for working with children and strong classroom management abilities.
  • Experience in diverse and inclusive educational settings is preferred.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus.

All candidates must also pass a criminal background check and a negative TB test as part of the hiring process.
