Job Responsibilities

As a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN), your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough patient assessments and formulating individualized care plans.
  • Implementing and evaluating care strategies in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Administering medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols.
  • Providing pre-operative and post-operative care to patients.
  • Educating patients and their families regarding care plans and treatment options.
  • Facilitating discharge planning in partnership with the care team.

Qualifications

Experience:

Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), preferably in an acute care environment.

Education:

Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.

Licensure and Certifications:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or a Compact Nursing License (Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of hire). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
