Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Imaging Registered Nurse (RN), you will be tasked with conducting patient assessments, formulating a care plan, and executing and reviewing care.

As part of the interdisciplinary care team, you will collaborate with other members to ensure the safe and precise delivery of care.


  • You will develop a care plan, adjust it based on the patient's response to treatment, and regularly assess its effectiveness.
  • You will consult and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to create, evaluate, and modify the care plan to meet the patient's needs and objectives.
  • You will administer medications and perform treatments in accordance with hospital protocols.
  • You will appropriately delegate tasks to non-licensed staff following established standards of practice.
  • You will provide pre- and post-operative patient care.
  • You will supply educational materials to patients and families regarding care and treatments.
  • You will demonstrate safe and effective knowledge of all equipment utilized in the Interventional Short Stay Unit as necessary.
  • You will facilitate discharge plans in cooperation with the care team.
Requirements
Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Telemetry experience is required.
  • Recent intermediate critical care experience is preferred.
Education
  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
License and Certifications
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License. If Compact License, Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required as per St. David's Healthcare policy.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
