Role Responsibilities

As an Emergency Department Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in patient care, which includes:

  • Conducting thorough patient assessments and ongoing evaluations.
  • Performing triage assessments for urgent medical situations.
  • Documenting and administering medications accurately.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Providing education to patients and their families regarding health management.
  • Monitoring patient progress and adjusting care plans as necessary.

Qualifications Required

  • A minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution or current enrollment in a Master's program in Nursing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • Current Texas Registered Nurse license or Compact RN license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months of hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is preferred.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification is preferred.
