Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the marine sector, electrical engineering, or diesel engine fields; or an Associate degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience; or a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the same areas.
  • Proven ability to negotiate, persuade, and influence stakeholders, including customers and shipyards.
  • Strong skills in presentation design and delivery, along with the capability to manage service projects and assess technically intricate service reports.
  • Experience in the cruise industry or the offshore oil and gas sector is highly desirable.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Technical expertise with a preference for candidates holding an Engineering degree.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a service-oriented role within the Marine Industry or Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience utilizing SAP for tracking service orders, purchase orders, and work hours.

Role Overview

Insight Global is seeking a dedicated Service Coordinator to act as the primary contact for customers during the execution of service operations. This role involves coordinating, planning, scheduling, and overseeing all service jobs, ensuring the availability of necessary resources, spare parts, and logistics for each site. The Service Coordinator will play a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction by ensuring that all contractual obligations and business requirements are met.

The individual will be responsible for reviewing the scope of work and ensuring compliance from all parties involved, particularly concerning claims and modifications. This position entails managing the service order process efficiently, from quotation through to invoicing and cash collection. Additionally, the Service Coordinator will handle all required reporting and documentation, ensuring timely registration of all relevant data, including service reports, within the system.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in collaborating and coordinating activities with various internal teams to optimize service operations and maximize sales opportunities. Furthermore, the Service Coordinator will facilitate the transfer of service insights to local business units for product enhancement.

Providing high-level support to customers, this role requires close working relationships, offering consultancy and guidance to ensure products are maintained according to manufacturer specifications. The Service Coordinator will also oversee all aspects of commercial documentation and communication, possessing a solid understanding of the financial and legal elements involved in contracting with customers and suppliers. Regular review and evaluation of shop and service reports will be essential, along with the implementation of corrective actions as necessary.
