Role Objective:

The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee, coordinate, and manage the daily shipping and receiving activities of the hotel, while also supervising the operations of the storeroom. Maintaining cleanliness and organization in loading dock operations is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the logging and delivery of interdepartmental mail, including shipping, tracking, and receiving mail for the hotel and its guests. Ensure adequate supply levels of shipping materials and maintain communication with internal departments regarding incoming packages. Assist with managing aging packages and returns.
  • Process and create shipping labels for outgoing shipments, and handle billing through the Accounting department for packages sent via hotel accounts or third-party billing.
  • Maintain a clean and organized loading dock, providing forklift assistance to vendors as necessary.
  • Supervise daily storeroom operations, ensuring proper storage and rotation of stock to maintain product freshness and minimize waste. Oversee the issuance of products to food and beverage outlets, verifying quantities and quality, and ensuring adherence to requisition policies.
  • Assist with month-end inventory processes, verifying items being invoiced and making necessary adjustments.

Additional Responsibilities:

In addition to the essential functions, this role may involve performing a combination of supportive tasks, as determined by the supervisor based on the hotel's needs.

  • Act as a storeroom receiving clerk, managing the receipt of goods, filling requisitions, and assisting with month-end inventories.
  • Conduct general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to comply with health standards.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to discussions.

Other Considerations:

Regular attendance is crucial for the successful performance of this role. Employees with inconsistent attendance may face disciplinary action. Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, varying work schedules may be required to meet the hotel's business needs.

All employees must adhere to Hilton's rules and regulations to ensure the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities. Violations of these policies may result in disciplinary action.
