The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for crafting and executing the vision and strategic direction to expand this small to mid-sized enterprise specializing in staging, storage, and logistics. This role involves developing and implementing the business strategy aimed at profitability and growth, with complete P&L accountability encompassing Operations, Sales/Marketing, Engineering, and Shared Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with the Board of Directors and senior management to formulate strategic plans that align with long-term organizational goals.
  • Oversees the creation and execution of operational objectives, plans, and performance metrics that support the overall strategic framework.
  • Partners with the sales and marketing teams to foster effective growth initiatives for the organization.
  • Formulates and approves annual budgets while continuously monitoring performance through key performance indicators in conjunction with the CEO.
  • Recruits, trains, mentors, and assesses department leaders.
  • Implements innovative processes and procedures to enhance productivity, efficiency, and overall effectiveness.
  • Collaborates with the CEO to design and execute effective compensation structures and performance-based incentive programs.
  • Establishes and enforces capacity utilization strategies for streamlined and profitable operations.
  • Develops internal talent through comprehensive training programs, coaching, and mentorship.
  • Engages with clients, suppliers, and other external stakeholders.
  • Identifies and evaluates new business opportunities, articulating strategic directions and options in alignment with the company's growth objectives.
  • Promotes a workplace culture characterized by respect, trust, integrity, and active involvement.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Over 10 years of cross-functional management experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a general manager or executive role with full operational and P&L responsibility.
  • A high level of Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is essential.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing organizational metrics.
  • Proven track record of driving profitable business growth through innovation and market strategies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
  • Ability to cultivate a strong and collaborative organizational culture.
  • Exceptional general management and leadership capabilities.
  • Strong business acumen with a focus on results.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to enhance productivity and meet targets.
  • Proficient project management abilities.
  • Skilled in developing, formulating, and executing strategic initiatives.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to drive sales growth by comprehensively understanding market dynamics.
  • Strong financial and budget management expertise.
