Position Overview

The Head of FP&A will report directly to the CFO and will be instrumental in driving financial strategies within our expanding company. This role requires a proactive finance leader who can effectively manage financial planning, forecasting, and compliance with applicable regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strategic financial insights that support organizational growth, mitigate financial risks, and enhance overall business success.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee all facets of financial planning, including payroll management, cash flow oversight, investment priorities, and policy formulation, with a strong emphasis on fostering a meritocratic culture driven by key performance indicators (KPIs).
  2. Develop and manage comprehensive financial planning processes, including the annual operating plan (budget), ongoing monthly forecasts, and long-term strategic planning.
  3. Lead the annual budgeting and three-year strategic planning processes, creating detailed financial models that align with business objectives.
  4. Collaborate extensively with various departments, including Sales, HR, Operations, and R&D, to enhance divisional financial processes.
  5. Coordinate timelines for budgeting, strategic planning, and board meetings.
  6. Innovate and maintain the company-wide forecasting model, including cash flow management and variance analysis.
  7. Drive continuous improvement in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting practices across the organization.
  8. Manage the monthly financial close process in collaboration with the Accounting team, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  9. Prepare and analyze financial reports, providing insights and trend analyses to key stakeholders.
  10. Work closely with department heads to establish and monitor departmental budgets, fostering a culture of accountability.
  11. Enhance financial systems and methodologies to improve efficiency and visibility within the finance team.
  12. Develop and monitor financial and operational KPIs, providing insights to guide business decisions.
  13. Ensure data integrity and consistency across financial systems, performing validation and testing as necessary.
  14. Prepare presentations for business reviews, board meetings, and other management reporting requirements.
  15. Manage cash flow projections and inventory reporting, implementing proactive solutions to mitigate risks.
  16. Oversee capital expenditure project accounting and pricing processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with an MBA preferred. Relevant experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment is highly desirable. Strong financial modeling skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with senior management are essential.
