Job Overview

As a vital member of the finance department at Trapeze Group, you will oversee various daily accounting functions while also engaging in the financial closing and reporting activities.

This role is hands-on, encompassing routine processing and collaboration with other teams to ensure precise and insightful financial reporting and analysis.

With a keen attention to detail and a proactive mindset, you will contribute to transactional account evaluations and play a crucial role in the month-end closing procedures.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in the month-end closing process, including account reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and analytical reviews.
  • Prepare and manage monthly prepaid schedules.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations for credit card and bank transactions.
  • Account for fixed assets, manage depreciation, and update continuity schedules accordingly.
  • Upload and monitor expense reports from the expense management system into the accounting software.
  • Comprehend, create, and record intercompany transactions, aiding in the month-end intercompany reconciliation.
  • Support the uploading of reconciliations using Blackline, our account reconciliation software.
  • Generate accurate and detailed financial, cost, and accounting reports.
  • Assist in reconciling sales records, addressing discrepancies, filing timely sales tax returns, and supporting sales tax audits.
  • Provide assistance for both internal and external audits, financial reporting, and internal deliverables.

REQUIREMENTS
  • A bachelor's degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or business administration is essential.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a general/junior accounting role or a similar position is required.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables, is necessary.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management and communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong attention to detail, punctuality in meeting commitments, and the capacity to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Capability to gather data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and propose actionable solutions.
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP is preferred but not mandatory.
