Currently, we are developing neffy, an intranasal epinephrine product designed for patients and caregivers managing Type I allergic reactions, such as those triggered by food, medications, and insect stings.

Position Overview

The Clinical Sales Specialist will play a pivotal role in preparing for product launches and fostering brand recognition and adoption within designated territories. This position involves engaging with healthcare professionals (HCPs), hospital personnel, pharmacists, and administrative staff through informative presentations that balance product knowledge with disease state education.

This is an inaugural sales role that requires collaboration with both customer-facing and internal teams to promote brand adoption and growth within assigned accounts, contributing significantly to our launch success. The specialist will develop strategic business relationships with key accounts and influencers, establishing themselves as a trusted resource in these healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively to convey brand value and drive product adoption, aiming to meet or exceed business objectives.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with assigned customers, positioning oneself as a subject matter expert.
  • Conduct customer engagement meetings, utilizing both in-person and virtual platforms to deliver balanced messaging.
  • Collaborate with field-based teams in market access and sales operations to create detailed account plans.
  • Navigating complex situations and striving for productive solutions.
  • Understand payer landscapes within the assigned territory, focusing on patient insurance coverage and formulary access.
  • Maintain compliance with industry regulations while facilitating support tools for patient access.
  • Ensure all activities align with applicable laws and ARS values.
  • Travel may be required, up to 25% or more, depending on territory needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or life sciences, or equivalent experience; MBA or MS preferred.
  • 5+ years in life sciences, biopharmaceutical, or medical device industries preferred.
  • 3+ years of successful field-based account management experience, particularly in pharmaceutical sales targeting hospitals and specialty accounts.
  • Experience in Allergy/Immunology markets is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record in navigating payer dynamics to facilitate product adoption.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and motivate diverse stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both in-person and virtually.
  • Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong relationship-building skills grounded in credibility and trust.
  • Familiarity with local Key Opinion Leaders and key players in the designated area is advantageous.
  • Effective collaboration with internal stakeholders and field colleagues.
  • Ability to articulate ideas clearly and present effectively.
  • Strong scientific and clinical knowledge.
  • Business acumen with the ability to analyze trends and opportunities.
  • Competency with relevant tools for reporting and information gathering.
  • Valid driver's license required; driving is an essential duty of the job.

Disclaimer: This position may be contingent upon FDA approval of neffy (ARS-1) epinephrine nasal spray.

Compensation: The base salary range for this role is $115,000 to $137,000, with eligibility for performance-based incentives. Additional benefits include equity, 401k matching, and comprehensive health coverage.
