Role Responsibilities:
The Corporate Accountant will be pivotal within the Controllership function, contributing to the financial integrity of multiple locations. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the month-end closing process, including journal entry preparation
- Guiding junior accounting staff in identifying appropriate general ledger accounts for complex transactions
- Collaborating with plant accounting and shared services to ensure accurate customer invoicing and recording of intercompany sales
- Managing accounts for select customers
- Compiling and calculating key performance indicators for various locations
- Reconciling intercompany activities and balances
- Conducting general ledger accounting, including month-end reconciliations and account analysis
- Monitoring capital expenditures
- Performing ad-hoc financial analyses
- Preparing cash flow statements
- Coordinating deliverables for external auditors
- Supporting cross-functional leaders as needed
- Maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures
- Undertaking additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required
- CPA certification is preferred
- At least 2 years of accounting experience is necessary
- Experience in large manufacturing companies, accounting operations, or capital project management is advantageous
- Proficiency with General Ledger, fixed asset management, or ERP systems like BPCS
- Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP
