Job Summary
Energy Northwest is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in providing financial guidance and analytical support to the Finance Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide financial guidance and analytical support to the Finance Department regarding system administration and development.
- Plan and analyze complex financial issues, including fuel transactions, taxes, refinancing, and other special projects.
- Maintain ledgers for all Energy Northwest facilities in accordance with FERC and generally accepted accounting procedures.
- Prepare a variety of monthly and annual financial reports, surveys, financial statements, and tax certifications.
- Provide research and analysis for special financial issues, including refunds, tax issues, nuclear fuel transactions, workers' compensation, and inventory management.
- Assist in the development of financial strategies and policies.
- Interface with internal managers/supervisors and external agencies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Three or more years' experience in accounting, auditing, and/or finance.
- Progressively responsible experience with monthly and financial closing processes and related compliance and financial audit processes.
Benefits
- Competitive salary range: $78,000 - $117,530 per year.
- Midpoint: $97,942 per year.
- Eligibility for annual incentive plan.
- Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance.
- Retirement programs, including a matching 401(k) deferred compensation plan, the Washington State Pension Plan (PERS), and a 457(b) savings plan.
- 160 hours of personal time per year and nine paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
