Job Overview

Position: Credit Analyst II

Essential Qualifications:

  • In-office role requiring commute.
  • At least 3 years of experience in commercial underwriting, particularly in commercial real estate, or a minimum of 5 years in banking or related commercial finance roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Preferred: Specialized training in bank lending.

  • Proficient in:
    • English (reading, writing, and grammar)
    • Interpersonal communication
    • Organizational abilities
    • PC skills, including Microsoft Office and financial software.
  • Ability to manage a moderate workload independently.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Capability to work under strict deadlines.
  • Developed financial analysis skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current financial obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and analyze applications and financial data from prospective and current borrowers.
  • Evaluate the financial health of individuals or businesses and assess credit risk.
  • Ensure compliance with lending policies during credit analysis.
  • Prepare cash flow analyses to determine debt servicing capabilities.
  • Generate financial ratios to assess customer financial status.
  • Document all financial analysis comprehensively for review and presentation.
  • Make recommendations regarding loan approvals or denials.
  • Review customer files to identify delinquent accounts for further action.
  • Compare financial metrics of evaluated establishments with industry peers.
  • Assess third-party reports and documents relevant to credit evaluations.
  • Compile written analyses in the required format for presentation.
  • Engage with credit associations and business representatives for information exchange.
  • Consult with customers to verify financial transactions.
  • Manage multiple credit requests of varying complexities.
  • Review and update existing loan customer relationships to assess creditworthiness.
  • Maintain organized credit files with all necessary documentation.
