Key Responsibilities:


Drives business growth by securing new commercial banking opportunities through effective outreach strategies; nurtures and expands relationships with key influencers such as accountants, attorneys, community leaders, and various professional organizations; participates in networking events, charitable activities, and corporate gatherings to cultivate relationships.

Acknowledged as a Senior Commercial Loan Officer, responsible for achieving or surpassing the sales objectives set for Commercial Loan Officer Level 3.

Oversees portfolio management and underwriting by liaising with clients regarding their accounts and other matters related to commercial relationships; collaborates with team members to streamline the credit application process, conduct site assessments, engage with underwriters for decision-making, and perform annual portfolio reviews; identifies, assesses, structures, and documents commercial credit transactions to optimize profitability while managing risk; monitors credit quality within assigned portfolios and takes necessary actions as needed.

Recognized as a Senior Commercial Loan Officer, dedicated to managing the most significant and intricate client portfolios.

Works in close partnership with other departments to address client service challenges and promote cross-selling of additional bank products; manages high-level executive accounts and loan requests to ensure exceptional service delivery.

As a senior team member, represents the bank at civic and community events to enhance visibility and drive business development.

Serves as a mentor to credit analysts, portfolio managers, and less experienced loan officers, providing guidance, presenting educational opportunities, supporting relationship building, and assisting with training as required.
Engages in ongoing training to enhance sales and presentation skills, as well as knowledge in commercial banking, SBA, treasury management, and other relevant banking areas.

Effectively manages relationships with service providers and vendors; establishes strategic partnerships, sets expectations, develops performance metrics, evaluates vendor performance, provides feedback, and holds them accountable.

Adheres to all relevant banking laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, and related anti-money laundering statutes, as well as federal consumer protection legislation and regulations.

Other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:


7-10 years of experience in commercial lending and sales, with a proven track record of achieving progressive goals, developing commercial business, managing portfolios, and effective collaboration across departments is essential.

A comprehensive understanding of commercial lending laws, regulations, and guidelines is required.
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, statistics, business, or a related field is mandatory; a master's degree is preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. Familiarity with EasyLender, Cleartouch, OnBase, CreditQuest, and various government and investor software/web portals is advantageous. Experience with CRM software is preferred.
Background in financial services or banking is desirable.
Completion of, active pursuit of, or willingness to undertake progressive OBL/ABA certification courses related to the position is required.

Work Environment:
