Position Overview:
The Event Operations Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing the Banquets department. This role involves actively recruiting, supervising, coaching, and mentoring staff to uphold the company’s quality standards. The manager will also handle employment actions with the General Manager's approval, including hiring, promotions, and disciplinary measures.

  • Aiming for zero waste by 2025.
  • Ensuring that 80% of purchases align with our sustainable purchasing policy.
  • Engaging in regenerative working groups.
  • Utilizing fully electric kitchen appliances.

Key Responsibilities:
The Event Operations Manager will be tasked with:

  • Overseeing daily operations of the banquet department to ensure guest satisfaction and profitability.
  • Managing all aspects of banquet operations, including planning, supply ordering, staff scheduling, and event execution.
  • Ensuring compliance with all alcohol service policies and maintaining high standards of sanitation and cleanliness.
  • Conducting regular inventory assessments and managing the banquet budget effectively.
  • Collaborating with event departments to ensure all events meet specified guidelines and requirements.
  • Recruiting, training, and supervising hourly employees, ensuring adherence to company policies.

Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will possess:

  • An associate degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in hospitality, particularly in catering or banquet services.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, menu planning, and compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
