Event Sales Manager

Job Overview

The Event Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in driving revenue and managing the operations of special events at Legends International. This position involves overseeing Group Sales and collaborating with local tourism initiatives while serving as a liaison for corporate travel and tourism sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and cultivate revenue-generating opportunities for special events, including but not limited to corporate gatherings, social events, meetings, conferences, promotional activities, and weddings.
  • Proactively seek new business through sales calls, presentations, participation in trade shows, and client engagement to expand the organization's client database.
  • Establish and nurture long-term relationships within the event planning and production community, as well as with relevant organizations and groups.
  • Stay informed about trends and developments in the special events industry.
  • Collaborate closely with Legends operations, food and beverage, and merchandise teams to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Conduct regular meetings with the operations team to review event details and logistics.
  • Build partnerships with vendors and suppliers, including catering services, to provide comprehensive solutions for clients.
  • Oversee all logistics related to organizational events, including managing the events calendar and serving as the primary contact for clients.
  • Prepare and present reports to the management team, including revenue reports, profit and loss statements, and sales forecasts.
  • Gather client feedback post-event to assess satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop local tourism partnerships with hotels, concierges, and other attractions to enhance sales efforts.
  • Assist with tourism sales initiatives as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following:

  • Three to five years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and experience.
  • Innovative and resourceful mindset with a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, and marketing.
  • Knowledge of local markets and venue operations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including spreadsheets and CRM software.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
