The Event Catering Operations Supervisor is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing all facets of catering services and special events. This position is essential in ensuring that all catering solutions align with client expectations and uphold the highest service standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and implement catering solutions tailored to meet client requirements.
- Establish and nurture effective relationships with clients and customers.
- Ensure consistent quality in the planning and execution of events.
- Oversee the delivery of prepared meals and the setup of events based on banquet event orders.
- Assist clients in the planning of special events, providing innovative solutions to meet their needs.
- Train and guide catering staff to adhere to event standards, ensuring quality in final presentation.
- Distribute completed Banquet Event Orders to the team and ensure all requests are fulfilled prior to the event.
- Manage food and labor targets effectively.
- Supervise the execution of catering events of varying sizes, including staffing and management responsibilities.
- Ensure accurate tracking of all catering-related revenue, expenses, and receivables.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and develop team members.
- Guarantee compliance with all food safety, occupational, and environmental policies.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role is preferred.
- Experience in events, hospitality, and catering is advantageous.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
- Availability to work flexible hours based on event schedules.
- Exceptional communication skills are essential.
- Completion of Food Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications as required.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Capability to stand for extended periods.
