Position Overview

This role involves engaging with architects, builders, installers, and dealers to enhance sales through both direct and indirect distribution channels. The sales representative will conduct visits to architects' offices, construction sites, custom homebuilder offices, and lumber yards to ensure consistent purchases. Additionally, this position will identify new business opportunities through grassroots initiatives and relationship-building, as well as utilizing industry reports and databases to uncover potential sales leads. The representative will be accountable for meeting sales targets for Nichiha's products within their designated territory (Colorado).

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve or surpass established sales targets.
  • Provide insights and guidance to clients regarding AWP and Premium Products tailored for residential applications and services offered by Nichiha.
  • Deliver presentations to Architects, Custom Home Builders, Installers, and Suppliers.
  • Foster long-term relationships with dealers through exceptional customer service, diligent follow-up, consistent communication, and personal interactions.
  • Concentrate on sales of Architectural Wall Panels and Premium products within the assigned territory, targeting custom homes, duplexes, and townhomes by leveraging relationships with Architects, Dealers, Builders, and Installers.
  • Utilize SalesForce to track all activities and pipeline data, capture leads, generate reports, and provide sales forecasts.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies that align with the company's overarching strategic objectives.
  • Manage sales accounts and relationships within the assigned territory to ensure smooth operations and achievement of sales goals and revenue targets.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive sales plan for the territory that meets or exceeds sales and margin objectives.
  • Engage with customers regularly to build rapport and gain a deeper understanding of their business needs.
  • Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and annual sales reports.
  • Participate in quarterly and annual sales meetings and regularly scheduled team calls.
Professional Qualifications / Skills
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is highly preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience as an outside sales representative in the building materials sector, targeting architects, distributors, builders, and installers (preferred).
  • Experience in outside sales within both direct and indirect distribution models (preferred).
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Proven ability to cultivate strong client relationships and maintain a comprehensive client database.
  • Proficient in face-to-face sales techniques.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Ability to create and deliver product and technical presentations.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • General understanding of the construction process.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints.
  • Experience with Dodge Data (preferred).
  • Familiarity with CRM tools is required (preferred).
  • Understanding of social media trends.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel.
