Position: Field Sales Account Executive

Overview:
The Field Sales Account Executive is tasked with overseeing the sales cycle and fostering profitable growth within a designated sales area, catering to both established and prospective customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Achieve and surpass both corporate and regional sales targets, manage accounts receivable, and enhance customer loyalty within the assigned territory.
  • Formulate and implement sales strategies in alignment with company directives to service current accounts, secure orders, and cultivate new client relationships.
  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities through effective lead qualification.
  • Build strong customer relationships by gaining a comprehensive understanding of their business needs and establishing a consultative rapport.
  • Engage clients by connecting their business objectives with the value proposition offered.
  • Prepare detailed sales proposals, including pricing, credit terms, and estimated delivery timelines based on production and logistics insights.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, product offerings, and competitive landscape by gathering relevant market intelligence.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to achieve growth targets.
  • Maintain open and consistent communication with internal departments regarding customer achievements, opportunities, and developments.
  • Submit regular sales reports as required, including daily activity logs and territory assessments.
  • Manage existing customer accounts to minimize financial risk and optimize working capital.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (up to 4 years of additional relevant experience may be considered).
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in outside business-to-business sales, demonstrating a successful track record in solution-based selling.
  • Familiarity with industrial gases and welding supply sales is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to deliver value through a consultative sales approach.
  • Strong understanding of customer business dynamics and market trends.
  • Experience with SAP is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Google Suite applications.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to work independently.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license are required.
  • Willingness to travel locally and regionally (50-60% of work time).
