Position Overview:

Commercial Insurance Account Executive

The primary responsibility of a Commercial Insurance Account Executive is to support the production team in managing and servicing both new and existing client accounts. You will be tasked with overseeing a growing portfolio of business, primarily focused on small to mid-sized market accounts. Candidates must be located within commuting distance to a local office in the Southeast Region and be available to work on-site at least three days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage account responsibilities including billing, policy modifications, and coverage inquiries.
  • Conduct coverage assessments and provide risk management advice, complete applications, prepare submissions, negotiate terms and pricing, and draft proposals.
  • Oversee the renewal process and address cancellation requests.
  • Maintain effective communication and build strong relationships with clients and insurance providers.
  • Resolve any accounting discrepancies as needed.
  • Assist with policy verification and stay informed on rates, forms, and coverage updates.
  • Engage in all interactions with the public, clients, and insurance companies to mitigate potential errors and omissions.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant insurance experience in applicable products and risk management strategies.
  • Proven knowledge of Property & Casualty Insurance.
  • High School Diploma is required; a Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience is preferred, with relevant designations encouraged.
  • Property & Casualty License must be obtained within 90 days of employment.

  • In-depth understanding of insurance products and their administration, along with extensive knowledge of market dynamics and marketing strategies.
  • Proficiency in agency management software (e.g., Sagitta, Image Right).
  • Previous experience in an insurance brokerage setting.
