Compensation: $21-$24.52/hourly

Role Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and assist in coordinating before and aftercare (REEF) programs for designated classrooms.
  • Manage daily operations of REEF activities.
  • Collaborate with REEF Operations Managers and relevant staff to ensure aftercare classes, activities, and field trips are suitable for age groups and align with the school's mission and curriculum.
  • Ensure student safety during aftercare activities on campus and during monthly field trips.
  • Engage students fully in REEF classes each session.
  • Supervise transitions between classes and group play.
  • Address student behavior issues within REEF programs.
  • Document and communicate promptly with parents.
  • Implement school-wide student discipline policies consistently.
  • Serve snacks to students, record snack counts, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all areas and materials used during REEF programs.
  • Contribute to the development of REEF programs and staff.
  • Ensure availability of necessary materials for classes each day.
  • Assist REEF Managers in creating new and special classes and drafting class guidelines and descriptions.
  • Work with school administration to develop and implement processes that uphold the quality, security, and safety of REEF programs.
  • Support other REEF operational efforts as needed.
  • Assist with additional school operation tasks as requested.
  • Participate in various projects and tasks related to the overall operation of a public charter school and its extracurricular programs, as assigned by appropriate personnel.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of college coursework and relevant experience preferred.
  • Strongly preferred experience and knowledge in before-and-aftercare program administration.
  • Basic technology skills required, e.g., Google Suite, particularly GMail; Mac experience preferred.
  • Self-starter with effective time management skills, capable of working independently, and possessing problem-solving and crisis management abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong motivational capabilities.
  • Warm, friendly, and energetic demeanor; ability to connect well with children and staff.

Terms of Employment: 10 Months

Working Environment: In-school. The role is based on-site and will expand to include another campus, facilitating interaction with students, parents, and staff.
