Job Summary:
Apollo After School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic After School Educator to join our team. As an After School Educator, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality learning environment and managing activities that extend the school day. You will assist in the implementation of classroom curriculum and weekly lesson plans, ensure the safety and security of children enrolled, and follow designated schedules and curricula.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in Providing a High-Quality Learning Environment: Create a fun, caring, and responsive educational environment that promotes learning and development.
- Manage Activities that Extend the School Day: Plan and implement engaging activities that extend the school day and provide opportunities for children to learn and grow.
- Assist in Implementing Classroom Curriculum and Weekly Lesson Plans: Assist in the implementation of classroom curriculum and weekly lesson plans, and ensure that children are meeting their educational goals.
- Ensure the Safety and Security of Children Enrolled: Ensure the safety and security of children enrolled in the program, and take necessary steps to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Follow Designated Schedules and Curricula: Follow designated schedules and curricula, and maintain a routine for students.
Requirements:
- Ability to Command Respect and Cooperation: Ability to command respect and cooperation in an elementary classroom.
- Team Player: A team player who can collaborate with peers.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to assess and solve problems associated with elementary-aged children.
- Experience Working with Children: Some experience working with children, ages 4-10, preferably in a school/after-school setting.
