Role: Senior Director of Commercial Lease Operations & Accounts Receivable

Location: New York, NY

Compensation: $150,000 / Year

A prominent property management firm is in search of a Senior Director to lead the Lease Administration and Accounts Receivable teams. This leader will manage a dedicated staff of 8 professionals, providing strategic oversight for both departments. The Senior Director will be instrumental in establishing consistency in departmental processes and creating tools that enhance information flow across the organization. This role will serve as a key decision-maker, ensuring adherence to deadlines and effective communication of departmental updates throughout the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and guide a team of Commercial Lease Administrators and Accounts Receivable personnel.
  • Demonstrate a history of driving change and enhancing efficiency through the use of performance metrics.
  • Manage team performance, career growth, and deliverables while fostering a motivating and respectful work environment.
  • Review outputs to ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Establish and implement processes that promote accountability and uniformity within the department.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Lease Administration, Accounts Receivable, and other organizational units.
  • Communicate critical issues and ongoing performance metrics to all departments.
  • Ensure that all required benchmarks and metrics are consistently met by the team.
  • Oversee collections management.
  • Provide ongoing training and mentorship to empower staff to achieve both individual and departmental objectives.
  • Document and share best practices while contributing to the enhancement of internal controls and data quality.
  • Review and approve annual reconciliations for Common Area Maintenance (CAM) and Real Estate Taxes (RET) prior to tenant submission.
  • Supervise any tenant audits.
  • Review and validate lease abstract information for billing and reporting within the residential portfolio.

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 10 years of experience in Lease Administration, with advanced knowledge of Real Estate Accounting or Property Management, including at least 5 years in a Lease Administration role.

· At least 5 years of supervisory experience, operating at a strategic level with both internal and external teams is highly preferred.

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.

· Exceptional attention to detail, ability to enforce deadlines, and maintain high organizational standards are critical for success in this position.

· Strong financial and analytical skills, along with leadership capabilities and a commitment to professional growth.

· Proactive problem-solving skills to identify and address issues effectively.

· Ability to mentor junior staff and manage underperformance constructively.

· Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with executive-level stakeholders.
