Position Summary

We are seeking a full-time Lease Administrator to join our team at Berik Management. In this role, you will oversee the daily management of multiple properties, which includes budget management, liaising with brokers for new leases, generating new lease agreements, abstracting, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies. This position is primarily based in New York City, with the possibility of remote work flexibility.


The salary range for this role is competitive, reflecting skills and experience.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with property owners and clients to ensure objectives are achieved.
  • Utilize Yardi Property Management Software for entering receipts, issuing checks, and preparing budgets and reports.
  • Handle accounts receivable, including rent collection, accruals, reconciliations, and compliance with lease terms.
  • Address tenant inquiries and collaborate with property management and building staff to resolve issues.
  • Monitor lease agreements, ensuring timely billing and collection of rents and other charges.
  • Maintain accurate records for vendors and tenants.
  • Draft correspondence and memos for tenants and vendors.
  • Foster positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with leasing brokers to efficiently manage vacant spaces and enhance occupancy rates.
  • Coordinate with legal counsel on landlord-tenant matters.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, real estate, or a related field is preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in property management, focusing on residential and commercial properties.
  • Strong understanding of market rates for condos and co-ops.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Proficient in Yardi, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Able to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
