Position: Senior Director of Commercial Lease Management & Accounts Receivable
Location: New York, NY
Compensation: $150,000 per annum

A prominent property management firm is in search of a Senior Director to lead the Lease Management and Accounts Receivable teams. This role entails overseeing a dedicated staff of 8 professionals, ensuring strategic oversight of both departments. The Senior Director will be pivotal in establishing uniformity in processes and procedures, while also developing tools to disseminate information across the organization. This position requires decisive leadership to maintain operational consistency, enforce deadlines, and communicate effectively with all levels of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and developing a team of Commercial Lease Administrators and Accounts Receivable personnel.
- Demonstrating a successful history of driving change and enhancing efficiency through metrics-driven accountability.
- Managing performance, career growth, and deliverables of team members, fostering a motivating environment for effective communication.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures through diligent review of work outputs.
- Establishing and refining processes to guarantee departmental accountability and consistency.
- Acting as the primary liaison between Lease Administration, Accounts Receivable, and other departments.
- Communicating critical issues and ongoing performance updates to all departments.
- Monitoring team performance against established daily, weekly, monthly, and annual benchmarks.
- Overseeing collections management.
- Providing continuous on-the-job training and mentorship to support individual and departmental objectives.
- Documenting and sharing best practices while contributing to the enhancement of internal controls and data quality.
- Finalizing and approving annual reconciliations for CAM and RET prior to tenant submission.
- Supervising tenant audits.
- Reviewing and approving lease abstract data for billing and reporting in the residential portfolio.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 10 years of experience in Lease Administration, with advanced knowledge of Real Estate Accounting or Property Management, including at least 5 years in Lease Administration or a closely related field.
· At least 5 years of supervisory experience at a strategic level, collaborating with both internal and external teams is highly preferred.
· A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
· Exceptional attention to detail, ability to enforce deadlines, and maintain high organizational standards are critical for success in this role.
· Strong financial and analytical skills, coupled with leadership capabilities and a commitment to personal and professional growth.
· Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to address issues before they escalate.
· Capacity to mentor junior staff and effectively manage underperformers.
· Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with executive-level team members.
