Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Services Coordinator III to join our team at Mass General Brigham. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership and administrative skills to oversee the day-to-day operations of our patient services department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide direct supervision to administrative and facilities staff, ensuring that they are equipped to provide excellent patient care and service.
  • Operational Management: Collaborate with practice leadership to evaluate, develop, and implement administrative systems and procedures to maximize secretarial workflow and create staffing efficiencies.
  • Patient Flow and Scheduling: Ensure smooth patient flow and provide necessary documents for visits, while also generating and mailing no-show/missed appointment letters to clients.
  • Referrals and Authorizations: Handle referrals to specialists, track patients' appointments, obtain BH authorizations, and input into Epic.
  • Training and Development: Train and supervise new administrative and Patient Service Coordinator staff, ensuring they are equipped to provide excellent patient care and service.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the practice, including mail/faxes, distribution, and day-to-day operations.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of two to four years of healthcare administration experience and two years of supervisory experience.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; BA or BS degree preferred.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to be flexible, highly organized, and thoughtful in a fast-paced ambulatory setting, analytical and creative problem-solving skills, and strong computer skills and knowledge of office practice applications.
