Position Title: Patient Services Coordinator II

Organization: Home Base, a collaborative initiative between the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital, is focused on addressing the unseen challenges faced by Veterans, Service Members, Military Families, and Families of the Fallen through comprehensive clinical support, wellness initiatives, educational programs, and research efforts.

In this role, reporting directly to the Practice Manager, the Patient Services Coordinator (PSC) is integral to delivering exceptional care and service to patients. Responsibilities include streamlining the patient check-in experience and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere throughout their visit. The PSC serves as the initial point of contact, managing patient interactions, coordinating appointment schedules, and supporting various administrative projects as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit a friendly and compassionate demeanor towards all patients
  • Effectively manage incoming communications
  • Assist patients during the check-in process and respond to their inquiries
  • Oversee appointment scheduling while adhering to HIPAA regulations
  • Collaborate with team members and manage intricate administrative duties
  • Demonstrate outstanding customer service and communication abilities
  • Exhibit problem-solving skills and manage challenging situations
  • Prior experience in a customer service capacity is preferred

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years in a clinically focused customer service role
  • High school diploma is mandatory

Work Environment:

  • Office/Ambulatory Care Setting with potential for remote work.
