GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Administrative Manager and the Clinical Team, the Senior Patient Services Coordinator is responsible for the following:

  • Arranging initial, follow-up, and multi-disciplinary appointments for patients with various providers.
  • Managing and updating the master clinical schedules for providers.
  • Processing referrals for specialty appointment requests.
  • Collecting intake information from patients and referring physician offices.
  • Coordinating Radiology testing schedules.
  • Requesting and securing scans for clinical sessions, pathology reports, x-rays, and lab results.
  • Collaborating with the Infusion Unit to organize chemotherapy treatments for patients.
  • Handling a high volume of patient phone inquiries with exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ensuring confidentiality and privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Providing cross-coverage for other staff members during absences, vacations, or fluctuations in workflow.
  • Executing additional responsibilities as assigned.

This role requires close collaboration with physician staff and other clinical center members, as well as direct interaction with patients undergoing cancer treatment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma is required; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, high-volume environment.
