Key Responsibilities:

The primary aim of this role is to serve as a strategic partner to the Plant Manager, overseeing the financial operations within a manufacturing environment. The Plant Controller will optimize resources for the designated site, ensuring alignment with production schedules and customer demands while fulfilling site requirements.

Core Duties Include:

  • Financial Oversight:
    • Complete responsibility for the Profit & Loss statement and Balance Sheet.
    • Adhering to financial reporting standards set by the company and business unit.
    • Ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations concerning internal controls.
    • Acting as the primary authority on GAAP-related accounting issues for the site.
    • Serving as the main point of contact for external auditors regarding site-specific matters.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Supervising finance department personnel.
    • Mentoring and developing finance team members.
    • Setting performance goals and evaluating team achievements.
  • Strategic Business Partnership:
    • Identifying key drivers for business enhancement and leading initiatives for improvement.
    • Collaborating with plant management to establish performance targets for quality, productivity, delivery, and profitability.
    • Managing operational control plans, including profit planning, sales forecasts, and capital investments.
    • Coordinating capital appropriation processes and conducting post-project evaluations.
    • Forecasting short- and long-term cash needs to ensure sufficient funding.
    • Keeping the Segment Corporate Controller updated on site performance and providing financial advice.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Access to export-controlled items is required for this position.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting from an accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA, CMA, and/or CPA credentials.
  • Experience as a Plant Controller in a manufacturing environment with revenues exceeding $150 million.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in managing and developing staff.
  • Proficient in MS Office, with experience in Oracle, Hyperion, or similar systems.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills for managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Expertise in cost accounting and related practices.
  • Ability to analyze details and tackle complex projects.
  • Effective communicator of financial concepts to non-financial personnel.
  • Outstanding leadership and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience with data queries in systems like Essbase, Hyperion, or Oracle.
  • Background in job order or discrete manufacturing environments.

Environmental Health & Safety Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing the company's EHS policies and principles.
  • Comply with all relevant EH&S regulations.
  • Utilize required personal protective equipment.
  • Report job-related illnesses and injuries as per company guidelines.
  • Promptly report any safety, health, or environmental concerns to a supervisor.
  • Participate in all required EH&S training sessions.
