Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing Shipments: Verify quantities, quality, and accuracy of outgoing shipments. Ensure items are packed according to best practices and customer requirements.
  • Order Processing: Process orders using the buyer's preferred shipping system (e.g., USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.).
  • Arranging Pick-Up and Drop-Off: Coordinate with third-party shipping services to schedule and monitor the exchange of packages.
  • Carrier Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with all shipping carriers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Supply Management: Order and manage shipping materials to ensure availability when needed.
  • Recording Shipments: Accurately document shipment and delivery information in company systems to maintain compliance with Federal Firearm License (FFL) regulations.
  • Data Entry: Enter a variety of data using current technology, helping to maintain inventory control.
  • Inventory Management: Participate in physical counts, resolve inventory discrepancies, and ensure accurate inventory records.
  • Receiving: Unload incoming materials and compare packing slips with purchase orders to verify shipment accuracy.
  • RMA Handling: Manage Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMA) for customers and vendors, ensuring returns are processed correctly.
  • Customer Service: Provide answers to customer inquiries regarding their orders and ensure satisfaction. Investigate issues with damaged items and arrange for replacements.
Requirements
  • Communication Skills: Communicate clearly and politely with customers to ensure understanding and resolve any issues.
  • Multitasking: Handle multiple orders simultaneously, ensuring each is processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure no detail is overlooked, preventing problems or delays in shipping or receiving items.
  • Numerical Proficiency: Handle numbers with ease, especially regarding serialized items, weights, and financial aspects.
  • Productivity: Enhance company productivity through diligent work and effective time management.
  • Data Entry Skills: Demonstrate excellent typing skills and accuracy in data entry.
  • Organizational Skills: Exhibit strong organizational abilities to manage tasks and maintain records efficiently.
  • Firearm Knowledge: Familiarity with firearms is preferred, given the nature of our products.
  • Independence: Ability to work unsupervised and take initiative in anticipating upcoming needs and shipments.
