Position Overview
We are on the lookout for a Lead Technical Product Strategist to spearhead the development and execution of our internal systems roadmap tailored for our corporate functions. This role is part of the Systems Engineering team, a newly established and expanding division within Fivetran, dedicated to the design, implementation, configuration, and upkeep of the internal systems that drive our operations.

Key Responsibilities
Roadmap Development

  • Identify and analyze opportunities and challenges within corporate functions, leveraging your expertise to articulate precise product requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize the roadmap, balancing the introduction of new features with the management of existing technical and process-related challenges.
  • Align business objectives with technical solutions, ensuring the systems roadmap is closely integrated with business processes.
Project Execution
  • Work closely with internal teams and Systems Engineering to ensure the successful execution of the internal systems roadmap, meeting project goals and deadlines.
  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and monitoring of project timelines and milestones using appropriate methodologies.
  • Manage critical projects directly, applying expert judgment to guide planning and execution.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across various departments, including People, Finance, Legal, Procurement, Analytics, Product, and Engineering.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Establish a clear communication framework to align expectations and provide updates on progress and feedback.
Process Optimization
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements, proposing new systems or enhancements to existing ones.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, motivating the team to refine processes and tools for enhanced efficiency.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends in technology and product management to foster innovation within the team and the organization.
Performance Metrics
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to ensure our systems align with business processes effectively.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to prioritize initiatives and report on the health and success of various projects.
  • Analyze the impact of new systems or enhancements on business operations, providing detailed reports to stakeholders.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical product management or related role.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity with an adaptable approach.
  • Solid understanding of corporate business processes and the associated teams.
Product Management Skills
  • Proficient in collaborating with business stakeholders to draft requirements that address complex challenges.
  • Skilled in prioritizing initiatives, balancing immediate business needs with long-term scalability.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Technical Proficiency
  • Deep understanding of enterprise systems and end-to-end processes.
  • Experience in conducting thorough analyses to identify system improvement opportunities.
  • Adept at translating complex information into clear requirements for diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies, with a proven track record of delivering successful products.
Decision-Making Skills
  • Experience using analytics and user research to inform decisions and enhance internal systems.
  • A strong customer-centric approach, ensuring technical solutions deliver significant value.
Additional Skills
  • Experience with Corporate Systems (e.g., Workday, Coupa, Pigment, Netsuite, Ironclad) and their supporting processes.
  • Understanding of public company operations and system controls.
  • Proficiency in programming languages and SQL, with the ability to analyze data independently.
