Position Summary

The Product Owner is responsible for articulating a comprehensive vision for the product to be developed. This role involves crafting well-defined user stories, prioritizing the product backlog, and establishing a clear timeline for delivery. The Product Owner ensures the technical integrity and quality of the features and components under the team's purview. This position emphasizes the end-user experience, identifying needs and features that shape a roadmap to realize the product vision. The Product Owner fosters and maintains relationships that enable them to serve as the representative of the customer. They utilize their influence to navigate organizational challenges.

This role operates in a hybrid capacity, requiring work from both a remote setting and the Oakland General Office based on business requirements.

Compensation Information

PG&E is sharing the salary range that the company believes it might offer for this position at the time of posting. This range is specific to the job's locality. The actual salary for an individual will depend on various factors, including specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. While we estimate that the successful candidate will be placed between the entry point and the midpoint of the range, the final decision will be made on a case-by-case basis considering these factors. This position is also eligible for participation in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.

Salary Range:

Bay Area Minimum: $114,000

Bay Area Maximum: $182,000

Job Responsibilities

  • Identifies the target customer demographic, their preferred communication methods, and potential response metrics.
  • Leads moderately complex projects with medium to high corporate or functional significance.
  • Acts as the primary liaison among various departments, stakeholders, business community, and lines of business.
  • Develops implementation strategies and assembles teams to introduce new technologies.
  • Creates new tools, resources, and communications to enhance processes.
  • Evaluates new products and equipment, staying informed about market offerings.
  • Develops new moderately complex products.
  • Provides product feedback and customer insights to support product development initiatives.
  • Collaborates with the product organization to deliver feedback on existing products and propose potential future products.
  • Analyzes work plans and schedules to reallocate resources or reprioritize program tasks.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 3 years of job-related experience.

Desired:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years of experience as a Product Owner in an Agile environment.
  • Agile Certification.
