Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive experience in various aviation planning areas, including but not limited to:

  • Landside operations
  • Terminal design
  • Airside management
  • Economic analysis
  • Environmental assessments

This position offers flexibility in location across multiple HNTB offices.

Core Duties:

Under minimal supervision, you will:

  • Conduct complex professional planning and environmental assessments.
  • Lead the development of plans, studies, reports, and environmental documentation.
  • Coordinate and integrate contributions from team members throughout project lifecycles.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, work plans, and proposals.
  • Manage project budgets and invoicing processes.
  • Engage with the public and stakeholders, presenting findings and recommendations.
  • Mentor junior staff and provide guidance on technical tasks.
  • Collaborate with clients and sub-consultants to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements for enhanced efficiency and service delivery.
Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning, or Engineering, with a minimum of 10 years of related experience; or
  • A Master's Degree in a relevant field with at least 9 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Skills:

  • Direct and oversee technical work for diverse airport planning projects.
  • Conduct capacity analyses for airport facilities.
  • Utilize software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and ArcGIS for design and analysis.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports for airport planning studies.
  • Interpret and manage airport simulation models effectively.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Assist in business development efforts, including proposal writing and interviews.
  • Support strategic planning and staffing initiatives within the department.
