About the Role

We are in search of a strategic and experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead and oversee our financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in finance and accounting, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a track record of driving enhancements in financial processes. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our financial reporting while supporting the company’s ongoing growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage the daily functions of the finance department, encompassing accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Team on strategic financial planning and informed decision-making.
  • Guarantee the precision and completeness of the company’s financial statements in alignment with GAAP standards.
  • Formulate and enforce financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to boost efficiency and ensure compliance.
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and financial analyses.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, cash flow models, and variance analyses.
  • Coordinate and facilitate external audits and tax submissions.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to enhance business operations and deliver financial insights and recommendations.
  • Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local financial regulations.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function to elevate efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage and reconcile multiple credit card vendors.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or CMA designation preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience in the retail sector is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Intacct) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Outstanding leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven history of driving process improvements and implementing best practices.
  • Familiarity with Sage Intacct and/or NetSuite, or similar platforms, as well as Concur or similar tools.
