San Francisco, California, United States Allbirds Full time

San Francisco, CA or Portland, OR | Marketing Team | Reports to the Sr. Director of Marketing

Who is Allbirds?

At Allbirds, we're on a mission to prove that comfort, good design and sustainability don't have to be mutually exclusive. We are dedicated to making the most sustainable footwear we can using premium natural materials, designed for life's everyday adventures. Our commitment to making better shoes in a better way is fueled by a belief that the shoe industry needs to focus less on flash and more on thoughtfulness. With funding from the leading venture capitalists in consumer products, and the founding CEOs of some of the greatest e-commerce businesses in recent history, our desire to shake up the footwear industry is off to a great start. In fact, TIME already called our first shoe, the Wool Runners, the most comfortable in the world, and there is much more to come.

Where do we need your help?

We have all the makings of a world-class brand – beautifully designed products that exceed customer expectations, a genuine origin story, passionate founders, product innovation rooted in the use of natural materials, and a loyal group of evangelists who believe in our mission.

Now we're looking for an experienced Sr. Manager, Global Marketing to lead the development and delivery of highly engaging, innovative marketing programs that support our business objectives and ultimately build our brand equity.

What does the job entail?

  • Lead the strategy and oversee the execution of breakthrough integrated marketing programs that build brand awareness, affinity and product adoption globally.
  • Ownership of seasonal storytelling, establishing the overarching narrative for hero, core and limited product launches that align with a sharp concept and creative approach.
  • Craft insights-driven creative briefs that inspire the internal creative studio and functional partners to deliver results-oriented, brand-differentiating work with clear reasons to buy.
  • Build and maintain close collaboration with internal and external creative partners to develop advertising, activations and content that's on brand and industry-leading.
  • Communicate clear and measurable sales goals that allow you to quantify the impact of work on the business, sharing quantitative and qualitative insights and learnings.
  • Collaborate with Retail, Site, Social, Influencer, PR, CRM and Performance Marketing to develop omni-channel plans with a consistent customer journey through the funnel.
  • Develop a deep knowledge of our target audience and routinely understand the effectiveness of our marketing programs, promoting a test and learn mindset.
  • Routinely share marketing strategies and plans, program results and learnings, and relevant industry (consumer & competitor) trends with the broader organization.
  • Effectively manage production and media investment budgets in close partnership with the Marketing Ops, Performance Marketing and Finance.

What are we looking for?

  • 8+ years of brand management experience in the fashion, footwear or culture space.
  • Highly strategic, creatively minded and results oriented marketer with a proven track record in campaign development and brand storytelling.
  • Practical experience running a wide variety of marketing programs that have successfully scaled across channels; from seasonal shoots to brand campaigns.
  • Strong ability to translate product insights, cultural trends and merchandising details into unique narratives and super sharp briefs that inspire creatives.
  • Exceptional leadership and collaboration skills, and ability to build strong partnerships with cross-functional and agency partners that facilitate team success.
  • Ability to extract insights from multiple data sources, and make informed decisions that balance the art and science required to build a lasting brand.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, team player that thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Relentlessly curious and knowledgeable about the consumer and their world.
  • Possess a growth mindset and will foster a test-and-learn approach.
