Position Summary:
The Senior Manager of Global Strategic Segment Marketing - Affluent is chiefly accountable for enhancing consumer engagement and payment volume for our business sectors, products, and markets that aim to establish relevance and preference among affluent clientele. A profound comprehension of this high-value demographic, alongside consumer trends and insights, is vital for success. This role demands the capability to translate these insights into effective and innovative marketing strategies for our global business sectors and markets.
This position plays a crucial role in the Center of Excellence, dedicated to fostering innovation, expertise, and market enablement for all key initiatives linked to strategic segment value creation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and oversee the brand ambitions for the Affluent segment, ensuring the brand remains a leader in consumer preference.
- Define and guide the Affluent brand positioning, value proposition, and messaging for key stakeholders across regions and markets.
- Implement an audience-first strategy and consumer segmentation across Visa's offerings, including travel, everyday spending, digital wallets, and eCommerce.
- Collaborate with the Brand Positioning Centre of Excellence to craft impactful brand claims for the Affluent segment.
- Work with regional teams to develop a measurement framework and learning agenda for the Affluent audience, informing ongoing strategies and campaigns.
Expertise Development:
Act as the subject matter expert on the Affluent audience, enabling markets to execute effectively and efficiently.
- Assist in establishing the Strategic Segments Center of Excellence, promoting visibility and opportunities to scale strategic ideas across markets.
- Build and enhance thought leadership on the Affluent segment through research and market intelligence.
- Facilitate inspiration sessions for internal teams on strategic opportunities and partnerships.
- Consult with regional teams to adapt global strategies and creative work to local markets.
Work Environment:
This is a hybrid role, allowing for a blend of remote and office work. Employees are expected to work from the office 2-3 days a week, depending on business needs.
Qualifications:
Basic:
• 8+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2+ years with a PhD.
Preferred:
• 9+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 7+ years with an Advanced Degree or 3+ years with a PhD.
• Experience in luxury goods or services and/or product marketing focused on premium offerings and affluent segments.
• International experience with global brands targeting the affluent market.
• Proven brand and marketing thought leader with strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present effectively.
Additional Information:
Work Hours: Varies based on departmental needs.
Travel Requirements: Occasional travel (5-10%).
Mental/Physical Requirements: Position performed in an office setting, requiring the ability to sit and stand at a desk and operate standard office equipment.
