Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the restaurant effectively
  • Oversee the training and development of new staff during shifts
  • Manage labor costs efficiently
  • Direct each shift by assigning roles, delegating tasks, and ensuring follow-up with team members
  • Exhibit leadership qualities that inspire staff, resolve conflicts, and make tough decisions

  • Be proficient in all restaurant areas to assist as needed

  • Prepare food as necessary
  • Ensure all food items meet Free Fenix's standards for quality, consistency, and timeliness
  • Monitor food quality and temperatures throughout service to comply with health and safety regulations
  • Adhere to proper sanitation and safety protocols, including knife handling and kitchen equipment use
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in the restaurant sector
  • Reliable transportation is essential
  • Ability to operate a touch-sensitive POS System
  • Capable of lifting a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Able to work in a high-temperature kitchen for extended periods
  • Completed training in all restaurant areas
  • Ability to follow directions and delegate tasks
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical stamina to be on your feet during busy shifts
  • Prior customer service experience is advantageous; basic computer and internet skills are required
  • Ability to walk and stand for long durations

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a non-exempt role. Workdays and hours may vary based on restaurant needs. This position often requires extended hours, including holidays and weekends.

Work Environment

This role is set in a restaurant environment. The workspace is well-lit, climate-controlled, and adequately ventilated. Employees may experience variable temperatures depending on the season and are regularly exposed to heat, cold, and water.
